Position Description

Job Title: RN – Cath Lab (Travel Contract)

Location: Charlotte, NC

Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital

Weekly Gross: $3117

Breakdown: -

W2: $41/HR

Perdiem: $1477

Designations:

  • Chest Pain Center Certified
  • Stroke Center
  • Not a Trauma or Teaching Hospital

Assignment Details:

  • Shift: 10-hour Day Shift (07:30–18:00)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks (89 days)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Radius Rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility

Department: Outpatient Interventional Cardiac Services

Common Procedures & Patient Types:

  • Chest pain and vascular cases
  • Ablations, pacemaker placements (PPM)
  • Cardiac and electrophysiology interventions

Experience Required:

  • Minimum: 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience (RN & Tech)
  • First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Certifications:

  • Active RN License (NC or Compact)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)

Required Skills:

  • EPIC EMR experience
  • IABP/Impella proficiency (required)
  • EKG and cardiac rhythm interpretation
  • Art line & CVP line management
  • Critical/cardiac drips
  • Conscious sedation
  • Transvenous and transcutaneous pacing

Additional Details:

  • EMR: EPIC
  • Cath Lab Software: Merge/Hemo
  • Scrub Color: Navy or Green surgical (provided)
  • Parking: Free, onsite
  • Floating: None
  • Orientation: 3–4 days (NEO + department)
  • Support: Strong departmental leadership
