Labor and Delivery Nurse New

Beds: 33 total (2 triage, 4 LDRs, 9 Mother Baby, 1 C-section suite)

Type: Non-teaching, no trauma designation, not stroke or chest pain accredited

Radius Rule: Traveler must live 50+ miles from the facility

Floating: Required within Region 1 (Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)

⚕️ Role Requirements

Experience: Minimum 18 months of LDRP experience

First-time travelers: Not accepted

Certifications:

RN License

BLS, ACLS

EFM, NRP

AWHONN (Resource Team level)

Skills Needed

Full LDRP care including:

Circulating C-sections

Newborn care (heel sticks, NAS scoring, 24-hr testing)

Lactation support

Postpartum care

Newborn resuscitation (NRP)

IV Pump: Alaris

Med Dispensing: Omnicell

Monitoring: Phillips, OBIX central monitoring

Other: Panda Warmer, GE monitors

Support Staff

OB Surg Tech (1 per shift)

Receptionist/HUC

Charge Nurse

Case Manager

RT (24/7)

OB Physician & Pediatrician (24/7)

Lactation Consultants (not yet hired)

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
